The Aphroditieion
Ἀφροδίτειον
An Aphroditieion is a place sacred to Aphrodite — in the ancient world, a shrine, a sanctuary, a dwelling consecrated to the Goddess. Today the Temple of Aphrodite calls upon this old word for something quietly radiant: a global network of small home hermitages where Aphrodite is daily welcomed, honored, and served.
Each hermitage is a single star. Together, they form a constellation.
The Constellation Hermitage Program
The Constellation Hermitage Program weaves together devotees who feel called to set aside a place in their life — an altar, a room, a garden, a whole home — as a hermitage of Aphrodite. Each hermit tends their own small sanctuary while remaining held within the fellowship of the wider Temple.
We do not ask hermits to live apart from the world. The hermitage life of Aphrodite is rooted in love, tenderness, and beauty in the midst of ordinary days. To dwell in an Aphroditieion is simply to let one corner of your life be unmistakably Hers, and to allow that consecrated space to bless everything else.
Together, the hermitages form a living constellation across cities, villages, and quiet countryside — a web of devotion that lights up the map of the world with Aphrodite's grace.

Becoming a Hermit
The path into the Aphroditieion is gentle and unhurried. Each step is taken with the support of the Temple and at the rhythm of your own discernment.

Discern the Call
Spend time in prayer with Aphrodite. Notice whether your heart is drawn toward consecrating a place in your life as Hers.

Apply & Get to Know Us
Reach out to the Temple. You will be paired with a Priestess, Priestx, or Priest who will walk with you through preparation.

Prepare the Hermitage
Set aside your altar or dwelling, gather sacred images, and begin a rhythm of daily devotion to Aphrodite.
IV
Consecration & Ordination (If Applicable)
A rite of consecration is offered, opening the hermitage as a star in the Aphroditieion constellation.
V
Constellation Life
Join shared online gatherings, seasonal rites, and the wider fellowship of hermits across the world.
Who Is Called?
The Aphroditieion welcomes devotees of every gender, body, orientation, and tradition. You do not need to be ordained, nor do you need to live alone. Hermits include singles, partners, parents, elders, and chosen families. Some hermitages are tiny altars in a studio apartment; others are whole gardens or country homes. What matters is the consecration of the space and the love of the Goddess tended within it.
Like all training within our tradition, participation in the Constellation Hermitage Program is offered freely as a gift.
